William Joseph Henton

William Joseph Henton of Norwood, PA passed away on January 21, 2022 at the age of 79. He was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late William & Helen Henton.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years Lorraine Henton, children William (Bonnie) Henton, James (Bill Dunn) Henton, Thomas (Jaleshia) Henton, grandson Bradley D. Henton, and his favorite dog “Louie.” He was predeceased by his sisters, Shirley Frankenfield and Lavern Emick.

William was devoted to his family and enjoyed talking to his many friends. He enjoyed his gardens, working on his train layouts, Nascar races and reading. He worked for 35 years as an Assembler/Industrial Mechanic for General Electric, Switchgear Division. He also worked as a crossing guard with Norwood Borough for 14 years after his retirement from GE.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday, January 27, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, Norwood, PA. Prayers will begin at 12:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill’s memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
