Timothy P. McCloskey

Timothy P. McCloskey, always jovial, died peacefully at the age of 65 on June 18, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, he was one of six children of the late George and Barbara McCloskey (Grabowski).  He was a 1976 graduate of Interboro High School and a volunteer firefighter in his hometown of Norwood.  He later served in the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Corporal while on the aviation crash crew at the Marine Corps Air Station in both El Toro, California, and Kaneohe, Hawaii.

Tim is survived by his beloved wife, Janet, to whom he was married for almost 39 years.  Their 39^th wedding anniversary would have been celebrated on the date of his funeral service.

Loving father of  Michelle Skrobak (Michael) and Meghan Emmerson (Daniel), and three grandchildren whom he loved fiercely, Luke Skrobak (16); Isla Emmerson (7); and Fiona Emmerson (6).

Tim is the dear brother of the Gavin (Mary), Donna O’Connor (Ray), Kelly Wolfe (Martin), Kate McVeigh (John) and the late Brian.   He is also survived by his sister in law Helenann.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday after 8:30am at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10am in the church of St. Gabriel, Mohawk Ave., Norwood.  Int. SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
