Thomas J. DiFilippo, 95, of Drexel Hill, PA, died peacefully on January 15, 2022. Tom is the last of the “Greatest Generation” in our family. And boy is that saying a lot. When you met Tom, you sensed that he knew a “hellava” lot and wasn’t afraid to tell you that, among other things. The…

A life well lived and honored. As a member of the next generation of DiFilippos', it was always a great experience being around Uncle Tom, and his brothers and sisters, one being my dad, Paul. Whether it was as a young boy at family picnics when he and others would drive down to our house in the "sticks', or as we got older when he would share his knowledge and talents with us during family gathers. He was always willing to discuss any topic anytime. Sadly, we will miss him, but the memories of him will be shared by future generations, He is at peace with Aunt Connie and Thomas.

Rosemarie, Diane and family, My sincerest sympathies on the passing of your father. Your father and mother were in our lives as we grew up. Your dad was a wonderful friend to my dad and Best man at their wedding. They met at Girard College and their friendship continued. He always provided his knowledge to us and agree we didn’t always know we needed it. A generous, gentle man and would do anything for his family. I know he will be greatly missed. Allow your memories to carry you through this difficult time.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I cared for Tom for short of 2 years. He was an amazing man, so full of knowledge & a thirst to seek out more. We took many rides through Delaware County where he would point out areas of interest & tell me the history. He published books on the History of Upper Darby & was very proud - rightfully so. I’ll miss his stories. As tough as he portrayed, he was a tender kind & generous man who adored his family. Rest In Peace my friend.
