Rosemary Anne (Wenzel) Mulcahy, 50 year resident of Bowling Green, Wallingford, PA, formerly of Merchantville, NJ, entered into eternal life on August 19, 2021.
The daughter of Paul Lyster Wenzel and Anna Dugan Wenzel, Rosemary was a graduate of Merchantville High School, Pierce College, Rutgers University, and Polley Real Estate School. She was a longtime member of Nativity BVM Parish, Media.
Rosemary began her career at RCA in New York City and New Jersey, where she was their first female auditing administrator. She obtained her real estate license and worked for 30 years as an agent, first for her brother-in-law Francis V. Mulcahy, then for Century 21 Adele Shaw and Associates.
Rosemary enjoyed her time volunteering at her children’s schools and various Church and community groups, and she served on several Boards. She was Tax Collector for Nether Providence Township for many years, and was a member at The Springhaven Club, Wallingford.
But her first love was her family: her best friend and husband, Joe, their three precious daughters, and eight adored grandchildren. She enjoyed attending all of their school activities, swim meets, dance recitals, and games.
She loved spending summers at the shore (she was a true Jersey Girl), teaching her grandchildren how to play the piano, throwing family parties, dancing (especially attending her dear friend Charlie Gracie’s shows), and cooking (her chicken soup and potato salad will be sorely missed).
Rosemary was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Joseph F. Mulcahy, Jr., Esq., her parents, and her brothers Paul Lyster Wenzel and Lawrence Wenzel.
She is survived by her daughters Moira Coyle (Edward), Megan Welsh (Michael), and her daughter, Rosanne, who was her devoted caregiver for the past several years.
Rosemary is also survived by her grandchildren: Brigid, Daniel, Joseph, Mary Cate and Nuala Coyle, and Eamon, Teagan and Liam Welsh.
Additionally, she is survived by her brother Bill Wenzel (Pat), sisters-in-law Elizabeth Mulcahy and Jean Mulcahy, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends may call Saturday, August 28 from 9-10:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 at Nativity BVM Church, 30 E. Franklin St, Media, PA. Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
