Michele Joan Stanley age 68, of Ridley Park, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 4, 2022, after a courageous battle against cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Michele was born on October 29, 1953, in Ridley Park, PA, to the late Jack C. Stanley, Sr. & Joan W. (Dulin) Stanley.
Michele was a proud graduate of the Interboro High School Class of 1971, and shortly thereafter attended Goldey Beacom College Class of 1973, to train for a career as a legal secretary. For the remainder of her life, she acted in a secretarial capacity to some of the most prestigious firms in Philadelphia, including Rawle & Henderson, and as the supervisor of the twenty-four-hour word-processing center at Ballard Spahr.
In 2005, seeking to obtain employment closer to home, she left the firm of Pepper Hamilton, where her own supervisor commented that “Michele did the legal work of two full time lawyers”. At that time, she transferred her extensive skills at the Media Law Firm of Barnard, Mezzanotte, Pinnie, & Seelaus. During her time in Media, Michele’s work ethic, and amazing skills were on display for all those who worked with her, and around her.
She was also well known at the Media Courthouse, particularly in the cafeteria, and also at Anthony’s Pizza, where she would often watch her favorite daytime TV show, “The Price is Right”. Michele also enjoyed traveling to Interboro’s home and away football games with her brother, Jack and other loyal Interboro supporters.
Michele is survived by her brother, Jack C. Stanley, Jr., his spouse, Pat, her sister, Donna Stewart, and her spouse, Spence, and her nieces, Lisa Mosesson (Matt) and Stacey Songer (Brad), Nephews, Michael, Matthew, and Brian Stewart. She was the great aunt to Lyla Mosesson, Landon, Elaina, Madison, and Sydney Songer. Condolences and remembrances can be forwarded to Jack C. Stanley, Jr., c/o 218 West Front Street, Media, PA 19063.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Michele’s memory may be made to: AKC Canine Health Foundation Epilepsy Research Initiative, 8051 Arco Corporate Drive, Suite 300, Raleigh, NC 27617.
