Logan Matthew Anderson, 22 of Wallingford passed away Wednesday April 21, 2021 at his home. He was born July 21, 1998 in Newark, DE to David K. & Karen B. Anderson.
Logan graduated from Strath Haven High School in 2016. He attended 2 years at Roanoke College in Roanoke, VA before deciding to take a break from his studies. He had a few restaurant jobs, getting his start working with his dad at the Granary in Georgetown, MD. He really came into his own when he started working in construction for his aunt and uncle at Compaction Grouting Services. He enjoyed the feeling of a hard days work and the camaraderie of being part of a team.
Logan grew up in a close-knit community surrounded by friends and family. Annual father/kid camping trips, neighborhood picnics and the Anderson Labor Day Crab Fest
were among some of his fondest childhood memories.
Some of Logan’s happiest times were his summers spent at Camp Tockwogh on the Chesapeake Bay. A family tradition, Logan enjoyed the independence and sense of community that only a sleep away camp can provide. The car rides home were nonstop chatter about all the adventures he and his buddies had experienced.
Logan was a loyal friend to anyone that was fortunate to be in his inner circle. He was fierce and opinionated but always on the side of the oppressed and most vulnerable. He was ever curious and self-taught in subjects such as philosophy, astronomy and different religions. He had a wicked sense of humor and was wildly charismatic.
In his downtime, Logan was known to binge watch his favorite TV shows; including The Simpsons, Bo Jack Horseman, Seinfeld and Lost. His real passion was music and he could persuade the most conservative listener to enjoy his favorite rap artists.
Logan grew up with an extremely close extended family who will miss him dearly. Survivors include his parents, Dave and Karen, his siblings Bethany and Nate; grandmother, Marie Bumstead; Aunt Kay and Uncle Mike Miluski, cousins Emily and Sophie; Uncle Andrew Bumstead, cousin Ellie; Uncle Rick and Aunt Vicki Bumstead, cousins Jon (Ena), Breann (Noah), Claire (Tom) and James. Aunt Eileen and Uncle Mel, cousins Kyle and Katie; Uncle Jeff and Aunt Wanda, cousins Alexandra (Brian), Cory (Jordan) and Joshua (Abby). He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Edward and Richard and grandmother Elaine.
He loved his dogs Jack and Penny and cat Nina.
A celebration of Logan’s life is being planned and details will be provided when finalized.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Camp Tockwogh.
A boy in the sky
Standing on a cloud
Just standing there
Watching a clock
A star clock
But it will not move
His Journey begins
