Linda M. Mallee (nee Womesldorf), of Norwood, passed away April 15, 2021. She is predeceased by her late father, Jay R. Womesldorf, and her niece Kylie Naiditch.
Born on Feb 21, 1964, Linda is the daughter of Jay and Cass Womelsdorf. She is the fourth of nine children, including Rick (Donna), Deborah Soler (Kevin), James, Michael, John, Cathy Naiditch (Gary), Brian (Maven), and Karen.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Norwood, PA, Linda returned to Philadelphia after high school to pursue her diploma at Presbyterian School of Nursing.
After graduating nursing school, she worked passionately as a Registered Nurse for more than 35 years. She loved her work caring for patients of all ages and backgrounds, including oncology patients, handicapped children, the elderly and those receiving home care treatments.
Linda was a devoted mother of 4 children, Patrick, Colin, Rory and Bridget, and a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She raised her children close to her family in Norwood, PA and was a lifelong member of St. Gabriel parish.
Linda loved to share a laugh with others, especially at work, during family parties or while on annual beach vacations. She was a dedicated Eagles football fan, enjoyed entertaining and cooking for her family, and loved music – particularly the songs of Barry Manilow. Linda’s lively spirit and love for her family will be dearly missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass for Linda on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at St. Gabriel Church in Norwood, PA. Attendees may pay respects to Linda and the family from 10-10:45am, and the funeral mass will begin at 11am. The family respectfully requests that all who attend please remember to wear a mask while gathering to celebrate Linda’s life.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, http://www.lls.org one of Linda’s favorite charities.
