On March 4, 2021, after a long struggle with health challenges, Karen L. Goffreda (Mahon), 73, passed away quietly.  Karen was the daughter of Robert and Angelina (Bruno) Mahon, both of whom predeceased her.

She is survived by her loving daughter and caregiver, Laura Wadlin (Steve), their children, Nicole and Shane, as well as by her daughter, Christine Frieberg (Justin), their children Rosalyn and Chandler, her sisters Joan Tinus (Steve) of Manchester, NJ and Gail D’Urso (Martin) of Carlisle, PA, and her beloved nieces and nephews.  Karen also will be missed greatly by her BFF, Lorry Mee Montano, and her dearest cousin, Patti Lawless.

Karen was raised in Nutley, NJ.  After moving to Delaware County, PA in 1989, she worked for a caterer and then for a holistic health center.  Karen loved her neighbors at Mary Taylor House in West Chester, PA, where she lived since 2011.  Before becoming ill, she helped coordinate social activities there. Karen also loved celebrating Christmas and Easter with her family.

A private burial and mass will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations are encouraged in Karen’s name to Manna, Delivering Nourishment, Improving Health.
