Dennis P. Mongan, age 55, of Mullica Hill NJ passed away on January 21st, 2022. Beloved son of the late Dennis J. and Helen “Butch” Mongan. Dear father of Marissa Mongan; loving brother of Denise Dean (late William Dean), Karen Mongan, Kevin Mongan (Kathy Mongan), Kelly Slobodjian (Jim Slobodjian), and the late William Mongan (Liz Fritz-Mongan). Also survived by his longtime girlfriend Denise Barbato and her daughter Chardonnay Schwartz. Dennis will be missed by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives he touched deeply.

Growing up, Dennis could be found getting into mischief on the streets of Philly with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing sports and respected the important values that playing on a team instilled. Early on, Dennis developed a craving for enhancing his knowledge, and enjoyed educating himself on new topics constantly. Additionally he had a passion for sharing what he learned with loved ones, and was the go to man for solutions to any problems. Dennis truly believed in helping others and making the world a better place. His next ambition would have been to write a holistic healing book, including a range of natural healing modalities he discovered through his learning.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home 301 Chester Pike Norwood, PA followed by his Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. N Orange St &, Highland Ave, Media, PA 19063

Dennis was a wonderful man, and a great friend. He would listen attentively to all your problems and always have a solution for you. I have many fond memories of the times we shared over the years including when Dennis first met my beautiful girlfriend Denise and their love story began. Dennis will be sadly missed.My sincere condolences to his beautiful daughter Marissa, Denise his beloved girlfriend and to all of his family and friends. Dennis was truly one of a kind. May he rest in heavenly peace with our father.

My sincere condolences to Marissa , Denise ,Chardonnay and to all of Dennis’s family. I met Dennis and Marissa years ago with Denise in Ventnor at the Burgio’s. We have had so many great times together and wonderful memories. He will be so missed . A great guy gone way too soon .

Den, I don’t know what to say. The last 20 years you have been my best friend. We were just talking about retiring and all of us moving to Florida. I'm thankful for the time I had Dennis as a neighbor and a friend. I appreciated his biting sense of humor and his fierce loyalty to his family - even when he was battling them for fantasy football supremecy.

We will always remember to good days and know Dennis is in a better place, and he will be watching over us.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this very difficult time. Gone too soon, but never to be forgotten. We will all miss you Dennis. Rest in peace.

Dear Marissa and Mongan family, I am absolutely heart broken over the news of Dennis's passing. He was my cousin and friend and I loved him very much. We didn't see each other often but when we were together it was always joyful, even in the saddest occasions. Dennis was always a warm and happy person. I knew him as being Denise’s other half. Together, they were a fun, adorable couple. My sincere condolences to Denise and the family.

I will miss Dennis very much. We met on the beach in Ventnor and got together with the gang often. It won’t be the same without him this summer’s. I am so sorry for your loss,
