I was saddened to learn of Darryll's sudden passing. He was a gentle giant of a man, fierce and loved his Philadelphia Eagles. We were good friends and drinking buds but lost touch when I moved to Lewes DE back in 2017. My sincere condolences to Darryll's family for their loss. I will keep him in my prayers and "let perpetual light shine upon him, now, and forever, Amen". Rest in Peace, Darryll....
It started with am online BBS system in 1982 and ended too quietly in 2022. Godspeed to the big man in any room.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Darryll, We've known each other for 33 years. My fondest memories are of the Eagles games, especially gameday when we'd wake up and before we got out of bed we'd sing the Eagles fight song. We even sang it on WIP. We had some great times together, family gatherings, parties, vacations, Eagles games, concerts. I will miss you my friend. I hope you have found peace now and will continue to sing to the Angels in heaven! RIP my friend.
I met Darryll in 1994 when I started working for Mark P and Steve K at ACS - a tech start up company. Darryll later told me he didn't think I liked him.... I don't know how anyone could think that. Sure, he could be loud and abrasive.... but that's just a true Philly boy when you know one. He was your best and most loyal friend when he knew you had his back too. We reconnected over Facebook like so many and I enjoyed his football game updates, his singing, and then we reconnected when he had his knees replaced and I went through my divorce, and 2 kindred single souls needed a friend. He literally would do anything for anyone. I really felt it.... and I wanted him to know he had a friend who also would do the same. We had the best time last November in ACNJ. He was quite the player at the tables!! Of course he was! Smart, shrewd, not in any hurry for anyone, Total opposite of me. I will miss him. I wasn't ready to let him go, but I guess God had other plans.... see you on the other side D, you know what we discussed.... don't think I forgot!!

Darryll was such a good friend to my sister Laurie. He always knew exactly what to say and how to make her laugh. He will be truly missed. We will remember him with his big smile and fedora hat.
Darryll, your friends in Montgomery county will never forget you, we were a pack, we shared good times, and heartfelt stories. Your dancing, singing, playfulness will always be in our hearts and I'm thankful that I was part of your circle of life. My deepest sympathies to your family. Your friends will always remember you at your best. May God bless.
I’ll never forget the day Darryll took me to the 2013 Eagles “Snow Bowl” game against the Lions. I knew it would be an awesome day as soon as I got in his car that morning with a book for studying, and Darryll said, “Now are you really going to need that?” We drove down to the stadium and I experienced my first ever Eagles tailgate. Because of Darryll, I experienced all the great music, food, drinks, and games an Eagles tailgate has to offer. He always checked in on me to make sure I was having fun. And then the snow started coming down as we made our way into the stadium. The Eagles started as cold as the snow, but as they fought their way back into the game, Darryll lived up to his nickname and showed me how to vocerifously sing “Fly Eagles Fly” while also having me help him hold up his long Eagles banner. I leapt into his arms with joy as LeSean McCoy escaped down the field through the fluffy snow with the touchdown that put the Lions away for good. It was one of the greatest days of my life, but the best part truly was getting to spend it with Darryll!
I worked closely with Darryll for the past year and became a friend. This sudden news has completely gutted me. Darryll was an incredibly intelligent, talented, outgoing, one-of-a-kind person who will be sorely missed. My condolences to his family and other friends.
To my dearest friend, Darryll. I miss you beyond comprehension. You will always bring a smile to my face when I think of all of our good times. You were a true friend to me and I was very lucky to have you in my life for 5 decades. You will forever be in my heart.

Darryll was a student of mine at Folcroft M.S. in the 70’s. I recently reconnected with him on Facebook. We would share comments about the Eagles and other topics. We had hoped to get together, but unfortunately we didn’t get the chance. I could sense his love of life, for his family and friends. I know he would want people to celebrate his life and remember him as someone who loved anyone who he associated with. May God bless him and welcome him into his kingdom.

Darryll, my head is still spinning thinking that we can’t talk anymore or enjoy laughing together. You became such a huge part of my life. I will never forget your compassion during the most difficult time of my life while my parents were sick and dying. Your support meant the world to me. Ron and I will miss our cousin terribly. Rest in the Lord’s arms and watch over us. Love you D forever. 💔💔

Darryll my friend, I wish we weren’t doing this, but it was an honor to call you my friend. You know Helene and I had many deep conversations with you about life, in which we were always able to draw on the positive! May you cheer on your Eagles from above now, rock on in the souls of the many musical friends you’ve made, and laugh with the best of us. Hey, even at us if you like! Helene and I miss you tremendously, knowing we can no longer just pick up the phone to talk with you! That said, we will now communicate via the spiritual realm! Keep an eye out and your spiritual ear open! RIP MY FRIEND! We love you! 💔🙏✝️🙏💔
Missing you so much. Thanks for being part of my life you made it so much brighter. Until we meet again. Love you!!
Please accept our deepest condolences for your family's loss.
