Barbara P. Salom

Barbara P. Salom, 99 of Lima Estates in Media (formerly Swarthmore) passed away Monday May 30, 2022.  She was born February 7, 1923 in Waterbury, Connecticut to the late Nathan & Frances (Minor) Pierpont.  After graduating from St. Margaret’s School, she went on to attend Wellesley College and Stoneleigh College.

While raising her three sons, she worked part time at Trinity Episcopal Church and at the Swarthmorean newspaper.  Barbara’s interests included needlework, playing Bridge, crossword puzzles and doing volunteer work for many organizations.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William T. Salom, and her son, Steven Worrell Salom.

Survivors include her loving sons, Peter W. (Linda), William P. and James M. (Ellen); Four grandchildren, Wayne T. (Amie), Renee P. (Ted), Evan S. (Patricia), and Maxwell P. (Jessica); and six great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, Chester Rd. & College Ave., Swarthmore, PA 19081.

Following a private interment, family and friends are invited to attend Barbara’s Memorial Service from the Lima Estates in Media on Friday July 8, 2022 at 2pm.
