Anthony V. Sainato, age 81, passed away peacefully at his home in Norwood on Friday, March 19, 2021.

He was born on February 12, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA to Anthony and Lena (Blundi) Sainato. He enlisted in the military in 1959 and served three years in the Army until medically discharged in 1962.

On November 18, 1978 he married Sandra Ann DiNardo. Together they had three daughters and a son. He spent his life working as a sheet metal mechanic as well as spending time with his family. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, and was a fan of documentaries.

Left to honor Anthony is his wife of 42 years, Sandi; two sisters Delores Farina and Marie Frattali; four children, Jodi (Jason) Fry, Jason (Shannon) Sainato, Amy, Lori; nine grandchildren Alexis, Amber, Michael, Gianna, Shyla, Ella, Emily, Thalia, Baby Sainato expected to arrive in September; and many nieces and nephews.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law John Farina, brother-in-law Mario Frattali, sister and brother-in-law Joan (Chuck) Perkins, and nephew John Farina.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Anthony touched are invited to Cavanagh Family Funeral Homes, Inc., 301 Chester Pike, Norwood, PA 19074 on Friday March 26, 2021 at 11 a.m., service to start at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield. Join us at 513 9^th Ave, Prospect Park, PA 19076 to reminisce, grieve, support each other, and of course just chat immediately after the cemetery.
