Anthony “Tony”/“Bones” Corica, 91 of Philadelphia, PA passed away Saturday March 20, 2021, in West Deptford, NJ. .
He was born February 6, 1930 in Johnstown, PA to the late Gaetano & Virginia Corica.
When he was 17 years old he joined the Navy and later settled in Philadelphia, PA. Tony worked at and retired from Sun Shipyard in Chester, PA.
Tony had a strong faith in God, was a diehard Penn State Nittany Lions fan (season ticket holder 30+ years) and lived for his annual summer retreats with his Johnstown “Goombahs” friends.
In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his wife Sandra; first wife Antionette (Toni); brothers, Santo and James; sisters, Mary, Carmella and Nancy; and stepson Patrick Younkers.
He is survived and will be deeply missed by his children, Mary Corica, Antionette “Toni” Nadzio (Walt), Deneen Kilgore, (Michael), Theresa Slusser (William), and Gaetano “Guy” (Brenda); 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; stepchildren, James Younkers, Michael Younkers and Kitty Younkers (Patrick, deceased); and 7 step-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 AM on Friday, March 26th at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 6300 Buist Ave., Philadelphia, PA. Family and friends are invited to a visitation starting at 10 AM. Interment in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Geistown, PA will be private.
