A bit of history...

• 1885 — Bart H. Cavanagh establishes the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home and rents a storefront across from St. Vincent’s hospital.
• 1939 — Bart’s son, Vincent P. Cavanagh, expands funeral home services into Delaware County; first in Glenolden, and since 1954, in Norwood.
• 1975 — Vincent’s sons, Bart H. and William L. Cavanagh, acquire the Patterson Funeral Home in Media, and offer services under the name of Cavanagh-Patterson Funeral Home.

Today, after over 100 years, with two beautiful chapels, families find trust and comfort as we help them plan the most dignified and memorable tribute for their loved ones.
